Updated Fair Work Information Statement – July 2021

 Ensure you are using the recently updated Fair Work Information Statement .

Employers have an obligation to provide every new employee a Fair Work Information Statement (FWIS) before, or as soon as possible after, the employee starts working for them. The FWIS includes minimum pay rates for non-award employees as well as information on minimum rights and entitlements and protection from discrimination and other workplace action.Download the updated  FWIS, effective 1 July 2021. 

Just a reminder thatEmployers also must provide a Fair Work Casual Employment Information Statement (CEIS) to casual employees in addition to the Fair Work Information Statement before, or as soon as possible after, they start their new job.  

Employers should keep a record of the dates that the FWIS and CEIS are provided and whether they are handed personally to the employee, emailed or mailed.
