The changes to the National Wage minimum are now in effect.
As previously advised, from 1 July 2019 the national minimum adult wage increased by 3% to $740.80 per week or $19.49 per hour.
Increases to rates of pay, allowances, penalties and loadings, as a result of the Annual Wage Review, were payable from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2019 to all employees on minimum wages. Modern Awards have now been updated by the Fair Work Commission to reflect these changes.
